In response to ongoing problems the boat owner was
experiencing he had installed a surveillance system inside. The owner
called VicPD after discovering that he had been a victim of a break and enters
to his boat and had captured the suspect on video.
Unfortunately for the thief, he did not know that the
surveillance video was on as he stole the camera itself, thereby leaving
fantastic evidence for officers to follow up on. The video clearly shows the
man enter the boat at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Officers are now following up with the complainant and
securing the video footage to continue the investigation.
