Victoria BC – Dennis Grant Fletcher, the man believed
responsible for Monday morning’s brazen drive-by shooting, was arrested early
this morning.
An astute member of the public noticed Fletcher in the
3000-block of Douglas Street at approximately 1 a.m. and called VicPD
immediately. Patrol officers rushed to the area and arrested Fletcher without
incident. He is now in police custody as VicPD Detectives follow up on
the investigation.
Fletcher was the subject of a three day man hunt after
spraying bullets into a crowd of people in the 900-block of Douglas Street,
injuring one man.
Numerous officers from all jurisdictions put in hundreds of
hours tracking Fletcher and are very grateful to have him behind bars now.
Detectives would like to thank the public for their
continued vigilance in this case.
