DETAILS A low pressure centre is crossing the South Coast today. In the wake of the low, strong westerly winds of 80 km/h gusting up to 100 have developed over West Vancouver Island and Greater Victoria. The strong winds will abate by this afternoon as the low moves further inland and weakens.
