To facilitate disposal of these materials, controlled burning of large piles of plant matter will occur during the period Mar 6 to 8 2013. It is expected that considerable smoke will be generated during this process.
The burning schedule will be weather-dependent and only take place if the ventilation index is favourable.
Invasive plant removal is required to protect federally listed plant Species at Risk by managing invasive plants where they negatively impact their habitat.
