Victoria BC – VicPD is gearing up for a busy Canada Road Safety Week on May 13th – 20th.
Canada Road Safety Week is a nation –wide enforcement and education week geared towards improving safety on the roads across Canada.
VicPD will be doing their part with numerous resources being deployed and will be enforcing traffic, pedestrian and cycling safety laws. Patrol, Bike Section, and Foot patrol officers are being assigned throughout Victoria and Esquimalt all week and will be issuing tickets in this national campaign.
“The goal of this national campaign is to increase safety on the roads across Canada,” said Inspector Andrew Lacon, Officer in charge of the Focused Enforcement Team. “Our officers are passionate about safety on the roads and this week is but a reminder to the public that police agencies across Canada share this concern.”
